Determination of Factors Affecting Financial Asset Investments

Abstract

This study aims to identify the economic and financial factors affecting investments in government domestic debt instruments, structured products and other investment instruments. Three different models are developed based on the explained and explanatory variables used in the current study and the period range of the study is set as 2013:01-2023:07 for government debt instruments, 2010:09-2023:07 for structured products and 2011:10-2023:07 for other investment instruments, taking into account the continuity of the data. Following a time series analysis process that takes structural breaks into account, the study identified different economic and financial factors that affect financial assets both in the short and long run.
