Work of Ibn Rüşd El-Cedd Named “El-Beyân Ve’tTahsîl” and examples of His approach methods to subjects

Abstract

In general, having an adequate and reliable knowledge of “usul/methodology, fürû/Islamic Law, ıstılah/concept edebiyat/literature” is necessary for specialize in Islamic Law and make an academic carrier in this art of science. Having sufficient and reliable information is possible by reading and recognizing basic resources and by knowing methods of benefiting from them, related to this art of science. In this context, having knowledge of classic and modern literature in Islamic Law is a basic issue needed by who desire specializing in this field or to make and academic carrier. In our study, one of the major classic resources of Maliki Sect named “el-Beyân ve’t-Tahsîl” (ö. 520/1126) written by İbn Rüşd el-Cedd is introduced and some examples related to his approach to subjects are given.
