Artistic practices have evolved from the readymades of modern times to various forms of performative art, intangible symbols, and even live animal exhibitions, showcasing a diverse range of examples. This research examines works born from the collaboration between artists and other living beings, particularly focusing on the ethical, political, and artistic connections that arise from the manipulation and representation of living beings in art, with reference to animal examples. The manipulation of non-human beings, imbalance in production and consumption, and the deepening discord between humans and nature are critically reflected in art. Considering the continuous interaction among living beings, the 'manipulation' by artists through their selection of elements from the world of other living beings, especially in contemporary art, is among the topics of discussion. Within the scope of the research, artworks involving live animals presented in different contexts are considered. The possibilities of collaborative art with a non-speaking species are examined with a focus on the principles of 'equality', rights-oriented, and ecocritical perspectives. The subject is discussed through four examples of 'human-centric' manipulated engagement with beings other than humans. Additionally, an example believed to approach each living being within the framework of the utilitarian 'equality principle' in the context of ecosystem discussions is included to contribute to the dilemma of the topic.
