Gençlik Merkezlerine Yönelik Memnuniyet Algısı: Şırnak Gençlik Merkezi Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın konusu son yıllarda sayısı ve gençler üzerindeki etkisi artmaya devam eden gençlik merkezlerinin gençlere yönelik faaliyetleridir. Çalışmanın amacı, Şırnak ilinde var olan gençlik merkezlerinin etkinlik ve faaliyetlerine katılan ve faydalanan gençlerin faaliyetlere yönelik memnuniyet algılarını ölçerek, sonuçlar doğrultusunda yerel ve ulusal düzeyde politika önerileri sunmaktır. Çalışmanın kapsamını, Şırnak ili merkezinde ikamet eden 14-29 yaş arası, gençlik merkezi faaliyetlerinden yararlanan kız ve erkek genç nüfus oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılarak veriler anket yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Katılımcıların demografik özelliklerini ve gençlik merkezi faaliyetlerine yönelik memnuniyet algılarını tespit etmeye yönelik hazırlanan anket formu yüz yüze ve dijital platformlar üzerinden uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler SPSS aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Betimsel bir çalışma olarak araştırma sonunda katılımcıların gençlik merkezlerinin genel faaliyetlerinden ortalama düzeyde memnun oldukları açığa çıkmıştır. Memnuniyet algısı cinsiyet, eğitim durumu ve yaşanılan yer gibi demografik değişkenler bağlamında anlamlı bir fark oluşturmamıştır. Sonuç bölümünde, elde edilen bulgulara dayanarak Şırnak’ta faaliyet gösteren gençlik merkezlerinden sorumlu kurumlara yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Literatürde benzer çalışmaların çoğunlukla büyük ölçekli kentlerde gerçekleştirildiği göze çarpmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın önemi, küçük ölçekli, sosyo-ekonomik düzeyi düşük ve dezavantajlı bir kent olan Şırnak’ta yapılması ve bu konuda Şırnak'ta yapılan ilk çalışma olmasıdır.

The subject of this study is the youth-oriented activities of youth centers, whose number and impact on young people continue to increase in recent years. The aim of the study is to measure the satisfaction perceptions of young people who participate in and benefit from the activities and activities of the youth centers in Şırnak province, and to offer policy recommendations at local and national level in line with the results. The scope of the study consists of male and female young population between the ages of 14-29, residing in the city center of Şırnak and benefiting from the activities of the youth center. The study was based on the descriptive research method, which is a quantitative research method, and the data were collected by questionnaire method. The questionnaire form, which was prepared to determine the demographic characteristics of the participants and their perceptions of satisfaction with the youth center activities, was applied face-to-face and over digital platforms, and the data obtained were analyzed by SPSS. In the study, it was revealed that the participants were satisfied with the general activities of the youth centers at an average level. Perceived satisfaction did not make a significant difference in terms of demographic variables such as gender, educational status and place of residence. In the conclusion, based on the findings, suggestions were developed for the institutions responsible for youth centers operating in Şırnak. In the literature, it is striking that similar studies are mostly carried out in large-scale cities. The importance of this study is that it was conducted in Şırnak, which is a small-scale, low socio-economic level and disadvantaged city, and it is the first study conducted in Şırnak on this matter.
