Ailede Yaşanan Değişimler: Çocuk Kitaplarına Yönelik Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Aile, bireyin dünyaya geldiği andan itibaren yaşamına devam etmesini sağlamak için bakım ve desteğin sağlandığı sosyal bir ortamdır. Tarih öncesi çağlardan günümüze kadar olan tüm süreçlerde aile olmak insanoğlu için çok önemli olmuştur. Değişen çağ ve koşullarla birlikte aile kavramı sürekli değişim halinde olan toplumsal bir yapı olarak varlığını sürdürmüştür. Çocuğun içinde bulunduğu bu değişimlerin pek çoğu çocuk için anlaşılması zor durumlardan oluşmaktadır. Boşanma, ölüm, göç gibi ailede yaşanan değişimler erken çocukluk dönemi için yazılan resimli çocuk kitaplarında “zor konuları elen alan kitaplar” veya “olumsuz konular” başlıkları kapsamında gruplandırılmıştır. Bu araştırmada ailede yaşanan değişimlerden boşanma, ölüm, göç-taşınma ve yeniden evlenmeevlat edinme kavramlarının erken çocukluk dönemi için yazılan çocuk edebiyatı eserlerinde nasıl ele alındığını inceleyerek, eserlerin alanyazın ile uyumlu ve uyumsuz yönlerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemine ile tespit edilmiş 40 resimli çocuk kitabı oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanması, analizi ve yorumlanmasında nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanması amacıyla doküman incelemesi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda incelenen kitapların çoğunun konuyu çocuklara pozitif bir şekilde anlatma yönünden yeterli olmadığı düşünülmektedir. Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda ailede yaşanan değişimleri kapsayan resimli çocuk kitaplarının nicelik ve nitelik yönünden yetersiz olduğu düşünülmektedir.

The family is a social environment where care and support are provided to ensure that the individual continues his/her life from the moment he or she comes to the world. In all periods from prehistoric times to this day, being a family has been very important for the mankind. Along with the changing times and conditions, the concept of the family continues its existence as a social structure that is constantly changing. Many of these changes that a child is going through are difficult to understand for the child. In illustrated children's books, which are written for early childhood, family changes such as divorce, death and migration have been grouped under the titles "books that are challenging" or "negative issues". In this research, it was aimed to determine how the concepts of divorce, death, migration, and remarriage-adoption; which are family changes, are handled in children's literature works that are written for early childhood and it was aimed to determine the harmonious and incompatible aspects of the works. The study group of the research constitutes "40 illustrated children's books" determined by sampling method. Qualitative research method was used in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data. A document review was conducted to collect the data. The obtained data was analyzed by content analysis technique. Most of the books examined are thought to be inadequate to describe the subject to children positively. In accordance with this information, it is thought that the illustrated children's books covering changes in the family are inadequate in terms of quantity and quality
